It was early on the 14th of August as the dew burnt off, and it was indeed a stunning day. We met up at 9am at T.T.P - sorry everyone, I was a bit late, LOL. We went across the road to grab some breakfast, before I called everyone in, and started 'laying down the law'.
We then left the car park, with Promo going the wrong way. We then hit the road, stopped for a bit, to let everyone else catch up (sorry everyone!). It was a lovely cruise up to Birdwood, with not much traffic. We cruised up parking in the car park, where I met up with the staff member who then received our money, and opened the gate, to the wet, wet grounds. With Oppo and Gusto looking for solid ground that we could position the cars in, we were off, setting up our little Touge Alliance display.
We then set off into the Birdwood National Motor Museum - wow - what some lovely cars they have in there; from Holden's to Chevrolet, they had it all. We went around the different buildings, outside, to the barn yard, up stairs to the garage - it was a lot of fun.
It was then lunch time, and we walked slowly to the Birdwood Bakery, got our lunch, had a chat, and slowly headed back again, to where we had our little display. It was then photograph time, thanks to August, Jared and others, who took some great shots which will be up here soon.
After that we had a chat, had a few drinks, and then it was time to head back down the hill to Adelaide,
All in all, it was a great day, with a lot of great people, and some very nice looking cars (on the grounds, and in the museum ;D). I'd like to thank the Touge Alliance members for making it a great day. I had a lot of fun, so did the old man. I hope to do the same again next year. Maybe we could climb the big rocking horse, at Gumeracha. LOL.
