Terms & Conditions

OBJECTIVE

Touge Alliance is a South Australian based club for car enthusiasts and those who look at competing in entry level motorsport events. As a result of that, combined with the presence of beginners, enthusiasts, and those with commercial interests these guidelines are required to protect both the members, the site owners, the club’s committee and of course those companies that support the website.

By abiding to these guidelines in all forums, chat areas, email services, and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group ensures a positive experience for all our members. By participating in any area of Touge Alliance, you agree to abide and be bound by these guidelines.

Touge Alliance Inc. is not responsible for any user-created content on the site, including but not limited to forums, chat areas, email services, and/or other message or communication facilities unless the contrary is expressly stated. Any user of this site agrees they are soley responsible for their actions, and if required that their details may be passed on to relevant authorities to assist in any matters arising.

GENERAL TERMS OF SERVICE

We encourage everyone to treat each other with mutual respect. Do not threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse others participating in the website.

Refrain from all expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or excessive profanity. Be courteous to others, even if your opinion differs from theirs.

Do not make inflammatory remarks in order to provoke others.

Using all CAPITALS, excessive punctuation, and website URLS in message subjects is forbidden. (You may use URLs in the message body).

Using all CAPITALS in a message is considered rude. Learn to use your CAPSLOCK key appropriately. And please do not mix cases. TyPinG liKE ThiS mAkEs YoU AppEAr likE YOU aRe 14 oR sIMIlarLY iMMatuRE. Not to mention it is incredibly annoying, and takes longer to type out anyway. Also, if you could at least make an attempt to spell words correctly that would be appreciated too. Comments like Help, plz ply will probably be ignored.

Please post in the appropriate forum. Do not be surprised if you post in the wrong forum and your thread is moved or deleted.

Be clear in your posting and have a point. Threads with no point will be removed at the moderators' discretion.

Personal matters between yourself and another member must remain between yourself and them. The public forum is NOT the place to air your private grievances. (That’s what facebook is for)

Use the forums appropriately. Do not use the forums if your messages would be more appropriate in a private message, email, chat, or phone conversation. This includes references to private transactions that may have taken place between members, and / or retailers and distributors. The public forum is not the place for communication of this nature.

You are allowed to use images in your posts, but be mindful of those people with slow connections. If the images are very large consider using a URL instead. Images may be removed at the moderators' discretion.

Threats of any kind (either implied or explicit) will, at the discretion of the moderators and administration, result in the loss of your forum rights (banning). Being banned from the forum may also result in your club membership being terminated.

Administrators and/or Moderators who manage the website may eject or ban users, as well as edit or remove posts that violate any guidelines, without any explanation, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

If you publish material which defames another person or company, or which amounts to unlawful discrimination or the incitement of hatred, then you may be held liable for those actions. You should be aware that Touge Alliance Inc. may be required, by law or court order to disclose certain information which it holds.

Touge Alliance Inc. reserves the right to remove posts discussing and/or promoting illegal activities including but not limited to the possession, procurement and consumption of drugs, street racing, criminal activity, pornography or graphically explicit materials and other associated issues, copyright infringement etc. Touge Alliance Inc. strongly encourages responsible road behaviour and will not tolerate infringement of the road laws. Evidence of said infringements may be passed onto relevant authorities.

Do not upload files or post messages that contain photos, software or other material protected by intellectual property laws, rights of privacy or publicity or any other applicable law unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consent. This also applies to scanned pages of magazines. Touge Alliance Inc. is not responsible for any use of anything you say or post.

Do not post any materials (including software and other information) that could harm (or is designed to harm) other users' computers or would allow others to inappropriately access software or web sites. Hackers are known to target forum websites and Touge Alliance has features in place such as IP Tracking, Server Log Files to analyse information and pass it on to appropriate ISP's, and/or authorities.

FOR SALE GUIDELINES

A separate set of guidelines govern the posting of FOR SALE listings. Your post will not be approved if these guidelines are not followed.

GUIDELINES FOR USE OF THE FOR SALE FORUMS

In an attempt to avoid any fraudulent activity by members on these forums, new guidelines have been put in place to protect buyers and sellers.

By posting or using this forum you agree to be bound by the guidelines and understand that at a Moderator or Administrator's discretion, inappropriate actions or misuse of this forum may result in your IP Address and Username being banned from this website.

Please use the info in this thread to post your pictures.

if you have multiple items, please use a separate template for each.

BUMPING YOUR THREAD

You may post a single reply with the word "BUMP" on your advertisement to relist it at the top of the listing of For Sale items in each 24 hour period. If you bump your item more than once in 24 hours, your post will be completely deleted and you will not be notified.

WHEN YOUR ITEM IS SOLD

You should simply report your thread to a moderator or reply to the thread and state that the item is sold. A moderator will close your thread for you and edit the topic title. A year down the track if somebody bumps your thread , it will be expected that the item is still available and for sale.

PLEASE NOTE

All new threads MUST have a title prefix (as in FS) and you MUST copy and paste the template above into your thread then fill in the appropriate details. There is no need to re-type the template, just copy and paste then type your information after the [/b] tag.

If any of these guidelines are not met, your thread will be deleted and you will become the butt of numerous merciless jokes around the forum.

Moderators reserve the right to question, edit, close, or dissaprove any advertisement that does not comply with the above, or appears to be obviously selling an item imported from overseas for profit.

The posting of nuisance replies (bagging of products, off topic discussions etc) will result in posts being deleted, and possible account suspension.

SPONSORS

Touge Alliance Inc. has relationships with sponsors which also offsets the costs of running the club and website via advertising revenue and other indirect methods of funding. Touge Alliance Inc. must protect the interests of those paying for the right to advertise their products and services.

You may not post any information considered to be of commercial nature, whether it be selling a product, promotion of a product or business unless you are a paying commercial advertiser, or a representative of a paying commercial advertiser. This also includes deliberately engaging in activity considered to be deliberately drawing sales away from Touge Alliance and it's advertisers.

You may not contact members of Touge Alliance with information of a commercial nature.

Touge Alliance reserves the right to ban a user at any time, without notice for ignoring these guidelines, soliciting sales via the forums, or external email system, and/or circumventing the guidelines in place to prevent unsolicited commercial transactions.

MODERATORS

The moderators of the forums are there to make the time spent on the forums more enjoyable for the Touge Alliance club as a whole. They receive no compensation (monetary payment or otherwise) for their time or services.

If you feel that somebody has breached the guidelines we strongly suggest you report this post to a moderator. Do not create a new thread or reply to the post as you will simply bump the thread to the top of the screen for everyone else to see.

If a thread is deleted or closed, or a post is removed, and you want to know why this has happened, do not start a new thread questioning the whereabouts of the post/thread. Such threads will be deleted and you will be ignored as being a nuisance. Simply send an email or private message to one of the moderators. If you feel a moderator has been unfair in handling an issue, then send an email or private message to the website manager via the Contacts Page.

Moderators use a combination of common-sense and these guidelines when making decisions. If you breach these guidelines, expect to receive a warning. Depending on the severity of the breach, a warning may be issued. You can receive two warnings before you will automatically be banned from the Touge Alliance website, and at the committee’s discretion, this may result in your expulsion from the club. Temporary bans may be put in place depending on the circumstances. Moderators reserve the right to ignore the warning process and issue an immediate ban if required and again, this may result in you being expelled from the club.

If you feel any of this is unfair, please contact either a Moderator, Administrator or committee member with the relevant section, the reason you believe it isn’t fair, an improved condition to resolve your issue, and a $50 protest fee. If your amendment is ratified by the committee your protest fee will be reimbursed. If your protest is not ratified by the committee then the member forfeits their protest fee.

Touge Alliance Inc. reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions any time they feel it is required, so please check back often.

At present we are an exclusive club with room to grow in the car scene. We currently have 20-30 active members. We meet frequently for social events & as we are CAMS Accredited we get together for CAMS events when possible.

As we are CAMS Accredited we offer CAMS membership to Touge Alliance members. More information about CAMS and what they do can be found on the CAMS website.

Membership stands at $40 per annum which gives you access to the forum and website and also to be an official member of the club. This is also the first step towards getting your Level 2 Speed / Non-Speed CAMS licences.
