With an early start on the cards it was obviously dark & cold.
Our meet point was McDonalds Edwardstown, where the time of 6am was agreed upon. Silly idea that!! From there, we left at 6:20am along South Road towards our destination of Christies Beach for a 7am entry.
We arrived at 6:45am with 8 cars holding up the Touge Alliance brand. We moved into a half moon position quickly & set up our tents. We then cleaned up the cars & went to Coles to pickup our drinks for the day.
By the time 9am came around, there were approx. 400 cars & bikes plus a 454 twin turbo speed boat on the oval, and the cars varied from a 1928 Model A to a brand spankin' R35 GTR...

There were many sensational old school cars; some had blowers bigger than a Proton GTi
The new cars included 3 Ford clubs, 2 Holden clubs & various other Holden's & Ford's loosely scattered around plus there were a few Jap Imports to bring the whole mix together.
The day went along smoothly with the promoters putting on a great show, getting suppliers to start their extremely loud & powerful cars to draw the 4,000 strong crowd around the oval, and a mobile dB comp was something else to keep the crowd moving with Cameron & myself having a go. With the new twin 10" setup, I pulled 128.3 & Camo pulled 124.1 with a single 12". Both numbers were up there for the day but unfortunately not loud enough to net a trophy.
Food was all round the oval with BBQ, Yiros/Potatoes & Coffee carts available which kept us very happy in the sunshine of the day.
Overall the club didn't win any prizes, but we had a superb day, and the 8 cars that came out put up a great show for Touge & our Motorsport affiliations.
We can't wait for next year... in the meantime we have more events to come!
